Motorcyclist killed in Barren County crash

GLASGOW, Ky.- A woman riding a motorcycle was killed in a crash Wednesday in Barren County.

According to the Barren County Sheriff’s Office, the wreck occurred at the intersection of US68/80 East and Old Mayfield Mill Road.

Investigators said when the driver of a pickup truck was attempting to make a left turn on to Old Mayfield Road, it was struck from behind by a motorcycle being driven by Kristie Hendricks, 49, of Park City.

After striking the pickup truck, investigators said the motorcycle went into the opposing lane of traffic and collided with a semi truck, which was traveling west on US68/80.

Hendricks was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
