UPDATE: Motorcycle vs. vehicle crash leaves one injured in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police Department investigated a motorcycle-involved crash on Monday.

Police received a call to the intersection of Cleveland Avenue and Sorenson Avenue to an injury accident.

According to a release, the investigation determined that a 2017 Ford Fusion, operated by Maria Houchens-Granados, was traveling westbound on Cleveland Avenue. Houchens-Granados was looking at her mobile device and did not see a 2020 Harley Davidson, operated by Joshua Walters. Walters was attempting to make a right turn onto Sorenson Avenue. The vehicle operated by Houchens-Granados struck the motorcycle operated by Walters. Walters was ejected off the motorcycle.

Walters was treated on the scene by Barren/Metcalfe EMS. He was transported to T.J. Samson Hospital. Walters was not wearing a helmet.

Houchens-Granados did not sustain injuries. Houchens-Granados was cited for driving a motor vehicle using a hand-held mobile telephone.

Walters was cited for no/expired Kentucky registration plate, no/expired Kentucky registration receipt, failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st offense.

The accident was investigated by Officer Alex Mutter, assisted by the Glasgow Fire Department and the Barren/Metcalfe EMS.
