Morgantown to host first Hispanic Festival at Charles Black Park

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – Saturday in Morgantown, you can come out to celebrate the Hispanic community with the first Hispanic Heritage Festival.

The festival takes place at Charles Black Park, and will feature music, face painting, a soccer tournament, basketball tournament and much more.

Local Hispanic food trucks will also be on hand to offer a meal throughout the day.

Staff with the City of Morgantown say they are excited to celebrate one of the largest parts of their community for the first time.

“We have a lot of Hispanics here in our community, and we just think it’s time to honor them and just welcome them into our community. So we’d love for everyone to come out. This’ll be our first one doing it, and we hope we can continue to do this every year,” tax clerk Dana Phelps says.

The festival starts at 2PM on Saturday and runs until 8PM, with a movie starting at 7:30.
