Morgantown man charged with drug possession in Ohio County

McHENRY, Ky. – A Morgantown man is facing multiple charges, including drug possession.

The Ohio County Sheriff’s Office says it was on routine patrol in McKenry on Monday when a deputy saw a suspicious man walking on State Route 1245.

Deputies say while trying to gather information, the male subject fled on foot.

Following a brief foot pursuit, deputies say the male was taken into custody.

The subject was identified as Greg Hatcher, 31 of Morgantown.

Hatcher was taken to a Ohio County hospital for evaluation before being transported to the Ohio County Detention Center.

Hatcher is charged with public intoxication – controlled substance (excludes alcohol), third-degree possession of a controlled substance – drug unspecified, prescription controlled substance not in proper container, first offense, resisting arrest and second-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot). He was additionally served with six outstanding warrants.
