Morgantown-Butler County Chamber announces ‘All-American Christmas’ parade

MORGANTOWN, Ky. – The Morgantown-Butler County Chamber of Commerce has announced the theme of this year’s Christmas parade as an All-American Christmas.
According to the chamber, the parade will celebrate America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, Dec. 5.
In addition, the chamber says this year’s grand marshal will be Medal of Honor recipient Don Jenkins.
Float lineup will begin at noon on Dec. 5, with judging beginning at 1 p.m.
A staging map will be released closer to the event, according to the chamber.
To be in the parade, the chamber says all categories are free for chamber partners, while jeeps and vintage cars cost $5, businesses with a trailer float will be charged $10 and businesses without a trailer or float will need to pay $20. In addition, the chamber says candy is allowed.
The chamber says no sign up is required in advance.
