More than 13k customers report power outages in local counties

UPDATE: 6:52 p.m.:

Crews have been hard at work into Sunday evening, with WRECC now reporting Warren County outages have fallen from nearly 13,000 to about 1,600.

According to WRECC’s web outage viewer, outages remain in Butler, Logan, Simpson and Edmonson counties, with smaller outlying reports in Ohio, Barren and Allen counties.

News 40 crews are reporting power outages in the Plano and Ivan Downs areas of Warren County.

The following power outages are active, according to WRECC’s web outage viewer:

  • Warren County: 13,200 members.
  • Butler County: 238 members.
  • Logan County: 89 members.
  • Allen County: 42 members.
  • Barren County: 2 members.
  • Edmonson and Simpson counties: 1 member each.
  • Grayson County: 77 members.
  • Ohio County: 24 members.

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Crews are out working multiple power outages Sunday afternoon amid an ongoing winter weather system.

According to Warren Rural Electrical Cooperative Corporation, 969 customers have reported power outages in Warren County alone. Crews say they are working to remove a tree from a line to restore power.

In addition, WRECC’s web outage viewer shows 152 customers without power in Butler County, 91 outages in Logan County and 31 in Simpson County.

If you see a downed line, do not approach that area and report it to your respective utility company.
