Moore enters 2026-27 season at full strength

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – As summer practice continues on the Hill for WKU men’s basketball, returning leader Teagan Moore is prepping for a breakout year.

The Bluegrass-born guard comes into his redshirt junior season off the heels of a very productive campaign.

Moore managed to end the year as the second-leading scorer in Conference USA, boasting the third-best field goal percentage in the league.

After leading the Tops in 27 appearances, Moore landed on the All-CUSA First Team.

So how do you follow up such a successful year? Well, the guard’s availability is at the core of that conversation.

“ This is probably my first summer where I’ve been full go and not had any injury or anything that would sideline me. So, I mean, [I’m] just feeling really good and I’m ready to go and ready for November,” Moore said.

Although the team is set to return five players from a year ago, the bulk of its makeup is brand new, meaning Moore and the returners have to build a fresh chemistry in the months leading to that first tip.

Sometimes that connection sets the tone for what happens on the scoreboard each night, and Western fans should be pleased to hear things are going just fine in that regard.

“ This group, we gel really well together, like off the court and on the court,” Moore said. “It seems like we’ve been teammates for two, three years, and it’s just been really fun to just go to practice every single day and just hang out with everyone in and off the court.”
