Monticello man arrested after allegedly stealing coin machine from laundromat

MONTICELLO, Ky. – A Monticello man is facing charges after police say a coin machine was stolen from a laundromat.
According to Monticello police, 32-year-old Jacob Coffey was arrested Thursday evening following an investigation into a reported burglary at The Wash House in Monticello.
Police say Coffey was identified through several tips they received after making a post to Facebook.
Authorities say Coffey was located and arrested in the drive-thru of a Little Caesars. This followed a call to police around 4:15 p.m. regarding Coffey exchanging coins for cash at an area Walmart.
Coffey was transported to the Wayne County Detention Center.
Coffey is charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and second-degree criminal mischief.
