Monroe Co. Sheriff’s Office searching for man after reported shooting
MONROE COUNTY, Ky. – Law enforcement is searching for a man after a reported shooting in Monroe County.
According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, around 9:34 a.m. Thursday, authorities received a call regarding a possible shooting on Hickory Ridge Road.
Upon arrival, authorities say they discovered that Timmy Jackson allegedly shot Richard Birge with a shotgun.
Deputies say Jackson fled the scene in a Silver 2002 Chevy Silverado cab pickup after the alleged shooting took place.
According to authorities, that vehicle was stolen Thursday morning from Mud Camp Road in Burkesville.
Multiple units responded to the scene to search the area but have been unable to find Jackson.
Birge was transported by EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Jackson is still at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
