Monday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky
Monday, Governor Andy Beshear announced what he called a significantly larger Monday than normal. 953 new cases were reported in Kentucky. The commonwealth has now seen 97,866 total cases. The state positivity rate continues to rise. On Monday, the rate was 5.84 percent.
Three more Kentuckians have died from the virus Monday, which brings the total number of lives lost in Kentucky to 1,410.
The Barren River District Health Department has not released any local numbers at the time of publication.
