Monday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky
Governor Andy Beshear announces the largest total of positive cases for a monday with 647. This brings the total number of cases in the commonwealth since the start of the pandemic to 88, 247.
Nine new deaths were also reported Monday, bringing the statewide total to 1,326.
17,229 people have recovered from the virus in Kentucky.
According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 8,505 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 7,124 have recovered.
One person in Allen County has died due to COVID-19 over the weekend.
