Monday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky

Monday, Governor Andy Beshear announces there are 543 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Kentucky. The commonwealth has had 73,158 total cases of the Coronavirus since the start of the pandemic. 12,445 have recovered.

5 new deaths were also reported Monday, bringing the statewide total to 1,214.

According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 7,537 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 6,392 have recovered.

There are no new deaths reported in any of these counties.

– ALLEN COUNTY: 403 (+20)

– SIMPSON COUNTY: 300 (+5)

– HART COUNTY: 204 (+6)

– EDMONSON COUNTY: 160 (+2)

– METCALFE COUNTY:139 (+6)
