Mobile Grocery renamed in honor of Megan Davidson

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A big announcement was made on Wednesday night involving Bowling Green’s Mobile Grocery Store.

Board members of the Mobile Grocery gathered at Broadway United Methodist Church to announce that the name would be changed to Megan’s Mobile Grocery.

This addition to the name is in memory of Megan Davidson, who tragically passed away in a car accident on July 27.

October 16 would also have been her 35th birthday.

In addition, Bowling Green City Commissioners Dana Beasly Brown and Sue Parigin proclaimed October 16 as Megan Davidson day.

Those on the Mobile Grocery Store Board say they feel that this is a great way to honor and remember her.

“This is a great way to honor her. She did so much. She’s the one that brought the passion, she’s the one that went out in the community, got the word out, and got this started. We couldn’t have started it without her, so it’s only fitting that the organization be named ‘Megan’s Mobile Grocery’ after her,” said Chairman of the Board for Megan’s Mobile Grocery Chris Whitfield.
