Mission BBQ to honor Vietnam Veterans on Friday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Vietnam Veterans from around south-central Kentucky are invited to Mission BBQ on Friday, March 29 to be honored by the restaurant.

This Friday marks National Vietnam War Veterans Day, and Mission BBQ is making sure to recognize those who served our country.

From 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Vietnam vets can swing by for free sandwiches and desserts, along with congratulatory handshakes and welcome home greetings.

Tim Riggs, community ambassador at Mission BBQ, stated in a release, “We are honored to serve our Vietnam Veterans and we are taking this opportunity to thank them for their service. These men and women did what their country asked them to do and we are grateful.”

Warren County World War II veteran J. Lee Robertson, better known as Mr. Western, will be there to greet local veterans, saying it’s a great honor to share stories and memories of those who served.
