Missing Laurel County woman found safe

LONDON, Ky. – Trooper Scottie Pennington, public affairs officer for Post 11, has confirmed Ida Hicks has been found safe.

LONDON, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating the disappearance of a Laurel County woman.

KSP says Ida J. Hicks, 45, of London, was last seen Jan. 11 at approximately 6 p.m. CDT.

Hicks was last known to be in the area of Highway 40 near the Laurel-Jackson County line.

KSP says Hicks is a white female, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair.

Authorities say no clothing description is currently available.
