Miss Kentucky Mallory Hudson to compete in Miss America

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Miss Kentucky Mallory Hudson is competing for the Miss America title this Sunday.

Several groups in Bowling Green are supporting the Miss America hopeful by hosting watch parties.

Hudson and her family have shown a great amount of support to many businesses and nonprofits throughout the years. One nonprofit, Down Syndrome of South Central Kentucky, is going above and beyond to support Hudson as much as she supports them.

Mekinsey Ford-Conway, the digital media manager for DSSKY, shares some of the consistent support Hudson shows when she is in town.

Mekinsey says, “She has done inclusive stages. This has taught our guys a lot of like, acting skills. It has taught them to work on how to be a professional and a lot of different situations. And it is just been they just love her so much. And she is always, always, always jump to help us at any of our events, anything that we ask her to do. So we want to show her some support right back.”

You can attend the DSSKY watch party for free. They only  ask that you bring refreshments.

In addition, the Public Theatre of Kentucky is hosting a watch party on Sunday, Jan. 14. For this event, you can make a donation of $10 online or $15 at the door. For more information on this event, you can visit its Facebook page here.
