Miss Kentucky 2025 kickoff
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The journey to crown the next Miss Kentucky is officially underway.
Young women from across the commonwealth have gathered in Bowling Green to compete for the title of Miss Kentucky 2025. The week of competition kicked off with an ice cream social at Chaney’s Dairy Barn, where contestants and their families had a chance to connect and build camaraderie.
Holding a state title comes with a range of responsibilities, and past winners say the experience is one to cherish.
Miss Kentucky 2024, Chapel Tinius, believes the role is about more than big appearances, it’s about meaningful connections.
“Bringing communities together doesn’t have to happen in the big moments,” she said. “It’s the small moments that connect us all as human beings.”
Miss Kentucky Teen 2024, Mallory Jones, adds that staying grounded is essential.
“Remaining authentic is key,” she said, “especially when you’re presented with countless opportunities in this role.”
Throughout the week, candidates will be judged across multiple categories, including interview, talent, health and fitness, evening gown, and on-stage conversation. Each contestant also champions a philanthropic platform, using her voice to advocate for causes close to her heart.
Heath Green, who has served as the Miss Kentucky Teen Director for the past 10 years, says the candidates continue to inspire him.
“Every year, I leave feeling like I can do more,” Green said. “It’s truly remarkable to watch these young women change their trajectory and find their true potential.”
This year’s competition will take place at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center (SkyPAC) in downtown Bowling Green.
