Miss Bowling Green Pride’s message for Pride Month

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One of the speakers at the Pride worship service at First Christian Church is a local icon in the LGBTQ+ community.

Meet Zoe Zahara, Miss Bowling Green Pride. Zoe won the crown last October.

David Hornsby, the man behind Zoe, went through 2 years of conversion therapy and has faced much adversity throughout his life.

He has one simple but important message to the community as Pride Month wraps up.

“Be who you are. I am a proud gay man. Zoe is a persona and I’m super proud of her. But as I said at the church service that was held at First Christian Church, David is the powerhouse. I can’t forget who David is,” Hornsby says.

David is also excited to see the fight for LGBTQ+ rights continue and hopes more people join in to advocate for this fight.
