Mid America Pet Food recalls several brands that may contain salmonella

(CNN) – Mid America Pet Food is expanding a recall of dog and cat food that started last week.

Impacted brands include Victor Super Premium Dog Foods, Wayne Feed Dog Food, Eagle Mountain Pet Food and some Member’s Mark varieties. The food may contain salmonella.

They have best by dates before Oct. 31 of next year.

The problem is the food may contain salmonella that can make pets sick and also people who handle the food and don’t wash their hands after.

As of last Wednesday, seven people had reported salmonella infections.
