Metcalfe elementary students practice check-ups at Teddy Bear Clinic

EDMONTON, Ky. – Metcalfe County Elementary School students took their favorite stuffed animals in for check-ups Friday during a Teddy Bear Clinic.
The program was held thanks to the Metcalfe County High School HOSA Club of Future Health Professionals.
School officials say students dressed in scrubs, gloves and masks to help with the health assessments, which included measurements, blood pressure checks, X-rays, ultrasounds, hearing and vision screenings, vital sign tests, hygiene activities and medicine checks.
Superintendent Josh Hurt joined in to offer assistance.
The district says the clinic serves as an example of meeting Metcalfe County Schools’ mission of learning, safety and student experience.
