Metcalfe County Schools superintendent performs snow day song

EDMONTON, Ky.- The students of a local school district not only woke up to snow, they also woke up to a snow day tune.

Metcalfe County School District superintendent Josh Hurt performed this song, which is a parody of Amarillo by Morning by George Strait. This version of the song referenced how the students will be using non traditional instruction in place of a snow day.

The snow day song tradition was started by former Metcalfe County Schools superintendent Dr. Benny Lile. Since then, Hurt wanted to continue the tradition to provide a nice moment as the students and families start their day.
