NEW DETAILS: Metcalfe County man charged with distributing child sexual abuse material

EIGHTY EIGHT, Ky. – A Metcalfe County man is facing charges related to child sexual abuse material.

Steven Ray Hurt, 57, was arrested Thursday, according to a uniform citation by the Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch.

Hurt is charged with one count of possession of a child sex doll, 10 counts of distribution of matter portraying sex performance by a minor under 12 years old, 10 counts of possession of matter portraying a minor in a sexual performance under 12 years old and one count of promoting a minor under 16 years old in a sex performance.

An investigation resulted in a search warrant at a residence in Eighty Eight, Kentucky on Thursday, which seized equipment for later examination.

According to KSP, an investigation revealed over 100 files of child sexual abuse material were located.

Hurt remains at the Barren County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
