EDMONTON, Ky. – Across the Commonwealth county clerks are readying themselves and their offices for the upcoming primary and general election.
With the deadline for primary entrants set for Friday, January 5, it is once again time to get all of the necessary things like poll workers and polling locations ready for the upcoming election cycle.
In Edmonton, Metcalfe County Clerk Shannon Fields believes her office is well on its way to being ready to handle whatever this election cycle has to throw at them.
“I feel that since 2020, things have changed a lot on the elections. But we have had a massive amount of training. And I feel that all county clerks in Kentucky are they’re ready for this. That’s our target, was let’s be ready for the president’s presidential election and we’re going to be ready for it.” Fields said.
