Metcalfe County High School students celebrate college signings

EDMONTON, Ky. – Congratulations are in order for two Metcalfe County High School seniors after their signings today for college basketball and marching band.

According to Metcalfe County Schools, MCHS senior Kassady London signed a letter Thursday to play basketball for Brescia University.

School officials say Kassady has 2,388 points as the second all-time leading scorer in Lady Hornet Basketball. She is also a top scholar with a 4.0 GPA.

Additional honors go to MCHS senior Mary Coomer for signing a letter of intent to join the U of L Marching Band.

The district says Coomer has been an “instrumental leader in the Hornet Marching Band” and that they can’t wait to see what’s in store for her with the Cardinals Color Guard.
