Meijer issues recall of distilled water sold in multiple states
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – More than 38,000 gallons of Meijer brand distilled water is under an ongoing recall.
According to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the recall affects Meijer Steam Distilled Water in a 128-ounce plastic jug with a red plastic lid.
The recall is due to a floating black foreign substance in the product, according to the FDA.
The FDA states the product was distributed to Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan and Wisconsin.
The products’ sell by dates are October 4, 2026. The item’s lot code is 39-222, the FDA says.
