Megan’s Mobile Grocery hosts Lip Sync Battle to raise money

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The community made their way to the Corvette Museum Thursday to party like it was a new millennium with Megan’s Mobile Grocery & their annual Lip Sync Battle.

The theme, as you can gather, was Y2K with songs from the 2000’s as the basis for performances.

Many different organizations in the community formed teams and performed, but it’s about more than that as the funding goes to help the Housing Authority of Bowling Green by providing food for those who aren’t able to access it at grocery stores.

We spoke to staff with Megan’s Mobile Grocery, who say nights like these, where they can raise money and help those in the community, has them saying “Yeah!”

“The Lip Sync Battle is a huge fundraiser for us every year. It’s very important for us to increase our budget and let us continue to serve Bowling Green and Warren County,” Sarah Bessinger says.

From schools & churches to local nonprofits in the area, everyone was able to have a little fun and take a trip back to the 2000’s for a while to truly become all stars.
