Health officials say this new addition to The Medical Center at Bowling Green is adding a five-story patient care tower.
The tower will provide a new space for the Women’s and Children’s Service at Med Center Health, which includes one of the largest obstetrics units in Kentucky. Official say two of the floors will bring expanded space for ante-partum, labor and delivery, cesarean suites, post-partum and an emergency department dedicated solely to obstetrical patients.
The Women’s and Children’s Service space will also feature Kentucky’s only Level III neonatal intensive care unit.
Other floors will allow future expansions for the emergency department, surgery, endoscopy and additional medical and surgical beds, officials say.
High Street Tower will be located near the former location of High Street School, a part of the area’s local history.
The project is scheduled to be completed in the summer of 2026, marking the 100th anniversary of Med Center Health.
