Medicaid Resource Renewal Day at Salvation Army helps community stay enrolled

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The lower-income community has an opportunity to make sure their Medicaid information is up to date.

Anthem-Blue Cross-Blue Shield-Medicaid set up shop at the Salvation Army to help people with their paperwork.

They gave out free items, like pill cases, first aid kits and water bottles.

Anthem partners with Kynect, a statewide health insurance site set to find the best insurance plan for you.

They say they’re excited to offer this chance to get healthcare coverage at an affordable price.

“I go to all kinds of Salvation Army’s because this is where the people are at. I love to help people. Some people don’t know how to get the help they need, and that’s why we’re out here to do that really rewarding part of the job,” Rochelle Lee, community relations manager at Anthem-Blue Cross Blue Shield-Medicaid says.

She also says they come out to the Salvation Army about once a month to make sure everyone has what they need.
