Medicaid event set to help community stay enrolled

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thursday, July 13, Anthem is hosting an opportunity to renew Medicaid for many Warren County residents.

Nearly 1.2 million recipients across the Commonwealth are at risk of losing healthcare coverage. Many lost that coverage for procedural reasons, like not turning in their paperwork.

The simple message that Anthem is trying to get across is the acronym ACT: make sure of the correct Address, Check your mail and most importantly Turn the form in.

It’s also important to make sure you are still eligible for Medicaid.

“It’s very important because right now they have insurance and if they don’t get the paperwork or they ignore that paperwork, their insurance will be terminated. To go back through that process, anybody that’s had to get WIC or SNAP benefits, it’s a process. We definitely want to try to keep that from happening as much as possible,” Rochelle Lee, Warren County representative of Anthem Medicaid says.

The event takes place from 11-12:30 on the 13th at the Salvation Army branch downtown.
