Med Center Health unveils south-central Kentucky’s first combined emergency room and urgent care
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health, in partnership with Dallas-based Intuitive Health, has cut the ribbon on the region’s first combined emergency and urgent care facility, giving patients convenient access to both levels of care under one roof.
Med Center Health Emergency + UrgentCare, located at 457 Lovers Lane in The Hub, is the third such facility in Kentucky and the only one in the region.

Upon arrival, patients will be evaluated by board-certified, emergency medicine physicians who will determine the appropriate level of treatment. The 12,000-square-foot facility also features 24/7 on-site laboratory and radiology services, including X-ray, ultrasound and a 64-slice CT scanner to ensure patients receive high-quality care.
“We simplify the process to ensure patients get the right level of care. Those who don’t need emergency services are treated as urgent care patients and billed accordingly, helping avoid unnecessary costs and confusion,” said Dr. Jay Woody, chief medical officer and founder of Intuitive Health. “We are honored to partner with Med Center Health to bring our unique model to Southcentral Kentucky.”
Med Center Health Emergency + UrgentCare-Lovers Lane will officially open its doors on Monday, April 27. The emergency department will operate 24/7, while urgent care hours will be 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
