Med Center Health to host Health and Wellness Expo with free screenings

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Med Center Health’s yearly Health and Wellness Expo is back for 2026 this Saturday, Jan. 10 with free health screenings, including dental screening.
According to a release by Med Center Health, the expo will last from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Sloan Convention Center.
During this time, Med Center Health says it will host south-central Kentucky’s largest health fair, a community event offering a wide variety of health screenings, demonstrations and giveaways from health experts, safety agencies and community partners.
No registration is required, according to Med Center health.
The release says all activities, screenings and educational materials are completely free.
This expo will feature 50 booths total, with many offering expert advice and a chance to learn more about wellness and preventative care.
Screenings will include:
- Ask the Pharmacist
- Blood Pressure
- Body Fat
- Bone Density
- Cholesterol
- Dental Screening
- Depression Screening
- EKG
- Hands Only CPR
- Hearing Screening
- HgbA1c
- Pulmonary Function Test
- Stroke Risk Assessment
- Vision Screening
“For this year’s event, we’re excited to introduce new health screenings along with many favorites we already offer, including A1C, cholesterol, bone density, hearing, and more,” said Sarah Widener, director of Med Center Health’s Health & Wellness. “Our Teaching Kitchen will also be onsite at 10 a.m., featuring our chef and registered dietitian, with additional demos throughout the morning. The new year is the perfect time to focus on your health, and this event is a one-stop shop where a small investment of your time can lead to a big return. Your future self will thank you.”
According to Med Center Health, there will also be a greater focus on getting teens involved in healthcare at this year’s event. This will include the Workforce Development Team from Med Center Health Human Resources highlighting Med Center Health’s Teen and High School Workforce Development Programs.
In addition, the following demonstrations will take place Saturday morning:
- 8:30 a.m.: Kids on the Block
- 9 a.m.: Dancing with The Rockerz, The Rockerz
- 10 a.m.: Teaching Kitchen, The Medical Center Food Services
- 10:30 a.m.: Jumpin’ Jaguars, Jump Rope Team, Natcher Elementary
- 11 a.m.: Potter Gray Pouncing Panthers
