Med Center Health preparing for annual Health and Wellness Expo
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An important event is coming to Bowling Green this weekend.
Med Center Health’s ‘Health and Wellness Expo’ will take place Saturday, Feb. 10 at the Sloan Convention Center, offering free screenings and important information for anyone with health questions or concerns.
At a time when health care costs can skyrocket, and insurance can be confusing and expensive, the expo provides a great opportunity for people to get a jump start on their health in 2026.
“This is free and open to the public. So we’re encouraging anyone that needs, you know, has some questions about their health that’s not sure maybe where to start with some things that need some screenings, anything along those lines. We have a one stop shop for you tomorrow. So we’ve got a huge lineup of screens, anywhere from EKG, cholesterol, A1C for diabetics. We’ve got, you know, just basic blood pressure. We’ve got dental screening, hearing screening, vision screening. So we have a whole lot,” said Med Center’s Community Wellness director Sarah Widener.
An exciting new element Med Center is including this year is their teaching kitchen.
A chef, and dietician with Med Center Health will teach volunteers, and those around, how to make delicious and nutritious meals that the participants will be able to take home with them.
The expo begins at 8 a.m., running through 11:30 a.m., with the teaching kitchen beginning at 10 a.m.
