Med Center Health Heroes Fest returns for 2nd year
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A way for the community to get Halloween candy while also meeting first responders is set to return.
The second annual Med Center Health Heroes Fest is on Sunday, Oct. 29 in the High Street parking lot on Med Center’s campus.
Ambulances, fire trucks and police cars will be on display. Officers, firefighters and EMS staff will also be there to take pictures with the kids.
One EMS staff member tells us the reasons why he believes it’s important to have events like these in the community.
“Number one, it means you know where you candy is coming from. We don’t have to worry about kids getting something bad, it’s all good candy. It also means the community gets to come together. So they get to just relax and get some candy with your kids,” Stephen Parrott, a supervisor at Med Center EMS, says.
The event runs from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday in the parking lot between Fourth and Fifth Avenue.
