MCHS seniors showcase skills at KySTE Spring Conference

EDMONTON, Ky. – Two Metcalfe County High School seniors showed off their skills at the KySTE Spring Conference last week.

School officials say Logan Gaskins and Landon Heckel were selected earlier in the year as STLP Engineers/Ambassadors.

Both students provided technical support and showed their commitment to the STLP mission at the recent conference, the district says.

Metcalfe County Schools states that “being an STLP Engineer/Ambassador means representing STLP regionally and statewide.”

Both students will participate in a student advisory group with the Kentucky Department of Education’s Office of Education Technology and will give crucial support at the STLP State Championship.

Officials say the role is the highest honor within the program. They say it recognizes students who excel in technology, leadership and collaboration.
