Mattie Barker, from Bowling Green, to take Miss USA Competition stage in October

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Recently crowned Miss Kentucky USA 2025 Mattie Barker will represent the state at the Miss USA® Competition this Oct. 18-24 in Reno, Nevada at the Sierra Resort & Casino.

Mattie Barker grew up in Bowling Green, attending Briarwood Elementary, Drakes Creek Middle and graduating from Greenwood High School.

Melissa Proctor, executive director of Miss Kentucky USA, stated:

“The Miss Kentucky USA title is one of the most highly regarded achievements a young woman in our state can earn. Each year, our competition attracts the most accomplished and established women in their fields, including leaders in academics, community service, athletics, business, and the arts. We are confident that Mattie Barker will carry this legacy with distinction as she represents our state at Miss USA.”

Barker will compete among titleholders from every state and the District of Columbia at Miss USA.

One national winner will go on to represent the United States at the Miss Universe® Competition, airing live from Thailand on Telemundo in late November 2025.
