Massey Springs Senior Living celebrates Valentine’s Day, raises money for Alzheimer’s research

BOWLING GREEN Ky.- For the first time, people at Massey Springs Senior Living could vote on a Valentine’s Day king and queen. This event raised $625 for the Alzheimer’s Association.

The king is 90-year-old Al Chapman, and the queen is 103-year-old Mary Logan, who will turn 104 next month.

Activity director Abby Coursey said this event is a way to both have fun, as well as helping in the fight against Alzheimer’s Disease.

“We’re really excited about it because we see our residents here struggle with Alzheimer’s and dementia, so we see how it affects people every single day. So for us to raise that much money for the association just by doing something fun like this means a lot,” Coursey said.
