Mason Goodnight Foundation donates $35,000 to The Foundry
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local golf tournament that’s raised nearly $400,000 total has decided to donate some of those earnings to a local charity.
The Mason Cup takes place every year at The Club at Olde Stone in honor of Mason Goodnight, who tragically passed away in 2017 at the age of 10.
Mason’s father, Jef, and the Mason Goodnight Foundation decided to donate $35,000 to The Foundry to help them buy a new bus.
Jef explains why it was easy to choose The Foundry to donate to.
“The Foundry is a hidden gem here. What we use Mason’s foundation for is to give back to kids. We do a lot of things with golf … we sponsor a lot of things with golf and baseball and football and basketball. But The Foundry also helps kids in the community as well,” he says.
