Martha Madison receives Lifetime Achievement Award from Arts of Southern Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local woman is receiving an award for her years of dedication to the art of dance in Bowling Green.

Miss Martha Madison is the former owner of Dance Arts, and she was recognized by the arts community for her contributions to dance.

She’s been a dance teacher for over 40 years, and has had so many students in her career… some of whom were in attendance.

Miss Martha told us what she hopes her students got out of her teachings.

“That the children learned not only to dance, but to learn to believe in themselves, and that every single child, they had a special talent. They needed to find and use it… and I tried to instill that in them,” she says.

Miss Martha joins an elite club of recipients of the Lifetime Achievement award, from artists to actors to members of bands like the Monkees & Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

A huge congratulations to Miss Martha on her career and this incredible honor!
