Man who fled from Glasgow police 3 times is apprehended
GLASGOW, Ky.- A man accused of running from police three times is finally apprehended and arrested on a number of charges.
According to an arrest citation, Arley Matthews, 30, first fled from police on foot when Glasgow officers attempted to stop him on his bicycle on Wednesday. Police said Matthews reached into his pocket and threw a glass meth pipe on the ground with residue on it.
Later in the day, police said they saw Matthews again, but again he fled on foot and was nowhere to be found.
That evening, police saw Matthews walking and as soon as Matthews saw them, police said he ran away for the third time. Only this time, he wasn’t so lucky. Police apprehended him.
Matthews was charged with possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, tampering with physical evidence, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree fleeing or evading police.
He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
