EVANSVILLE, Ind. – One man is wanted by authorities in connection with two stabbings that occurred in Indiana.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says it is seeking 32-year-old Bryan Douglas Schini of Evansville on two counts of attempted murder following the stabbing of two Evansville residents at a home on Sunday.

Deputies say they were dispatched around 10:08 p.m. to the 1900 block of Meridian Drive regarding a reported stabbing.

Upon arrival, deputies say they found one victim with a defensive knife wound to his hand. In addition, authorities say a second victim had been stabbed in the back and had left the scene.

Authorities say witnesses stated Schini arrived at the home around 8 p.m. that night and had been told multiple times recently not to return.

Despite this, Schini allegedly entered the residence uninvited, authorities say, and began “acting belligerently.”

During this time, authorities say Schini removed some of his clothing and made comments about “killing one of the residents.”

After being asked several times to leave, authorities say he eventually left. Shortly after, deputies say one of the victims left the home and was immediately attacked by Schini.

According to authorities, Schini stabbed the victim at least once and tried to stab him in the head. The second victim went outside to help, and authorities say a struggle continued back into the home.

The second victim then sustained a wound to his hand, authorities say. Schini allegedly was struck with a plastic dolphin by the second victim, forcing Schini to flee.

Authorities say Schini drove away from the scene, and the victim with a back wound was later found at a separate residence.

His injuries were determined to be serious but non-life-threatening, according to authorities. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment. The second victim refused medical treatment at the scene.

At this time, Schini has not been located.

The Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office says an arrest warrant has been issued for Schini, charging him with two counts of attempted murder and one count of burglary.

The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force is assisting in the search.

Schini should be considered dangerous and should not be approached. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is urged to contact the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Office at 812-421-6339.
