BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A man who formerly pleaded guilty in a 2019 shooting in Bowling Green is wanted by law enforcement.

According to court records, Tre’Shawn Hutchins, 26, of Bowling Green is wanted on an active warrant of arrest on indictment for a first-degree bail jumping charge from January 2023.

On May 29, 2019, News 40 previously reported that Hutchins was arrested in connection with the shooting of David Thang.

Officers responded to the scene on May 27, 2019, where they found Thang shot inside of a wrecked vehicle, according to information at that time from Bowling Green Police Department public information officer Ronnie Ward.

Thang was the driver of the car that exited Sebern Close Court and entered Thames Valley Road before crashing into an embankment.

Hutchins was initially charged with first-degree assault, three counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, tampering with physical evidence and first-degree criminal mischief, according to court records.

Court records say the first-degree assault charge was amended down in 2022 to second-degree assault.
