Man sentenced for illegal reentry into United States

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man has been sentenced for illegal reentry into the country after officials say he was previously deported or removed.
According to court documents, David Lopez-Guillen, 48, a citizen of Mexico, has been sentenced to two years and six months in prison, followed by a three-year term of supervised release.
Lopez-Guillen’s sentencing is the result of illegally reentering the United States after previously having been deported or removed, according to the United States Attorney’s Office, Western District of Kentucky.
Officials say on April 14, 2022, Lopez-Guillen was in Russell County when he was found in the United States after having been denied admission, excluded, deported and removed from the U.S. three previous times in the years of 2001, 2005 and 2020.
This is Lopez-Guillen’s second conviction in the Western District of Kentucky for illegal reentry.
This case was investigated by HSI Bowling Green and ICE ERO.
