Man robs Tobacco America

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green police are investigating a Thursday afternoon robbery reported at Tobacco America, 710 Morgantown Road.

At 1:08 p.m. police responded to the store where the clerk said a heavy set white man entered and demanded money, Bowling Green Police Officer Ronnie Ward said. The clerk complied and the man left the store.

“We believe that the man left towards Parkside Drive but then turned right and then went up towards Old Morgantown Road.

“Right now we’re not going to release anything about a weapon but no one else was in the store but the clerk and no one was injured,” he said.

The man covered his face and had tattoos on his forearms. He was wearing a white T-shirt, gray shorts, dark colored athletic shoes and dark ankle socks.

Police did not disclose the mount of money taken.
