Man rescued from river by fire departments

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Multiple volunteer fire departments, the Bowling Green Fire Department and Warren County Emergency Management were called out to Drakes Creek off Cemetery Road Friday night.

According to Travis Puckett with WCEM, kayakers called and reported a man hanging on to a log in the water who needed help.

Rescuers were able to save the man and bring him to shore.

Puckett says the man was in the water for around four hours before being saved.

EMS is checking on him.
