Man pleads guilty to multiple sex offenses, state recommends 12-year prison sentence
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man pleaded guilty Monday to multiple child sex offenses.
Earlier this year, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office investigated Brian Lee Nichols, 58, on multiple sex
offenses over a four-year period involving juveniles in his care, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
Nichols pleaded guilty in Warren Circuit Court Monday to one count of incest, two counts of first-degree sexual abuse and one count of first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor illegal sex act – victim less than 16 years old.
Warren Circuit Judge John Grise will sentence Nichols at 9 a.m. Jan. 28.
The commonwealth has recommended a 12-year prison sentence. Additionally, the commonwealth asks upon completion of his sentence, for Nichols to be on a five-year conditional discharge, and be a lifetime sex offender registrant.
