Man located in Scottsville allegedly steals Walmart scooter, shopping cart

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A man is charged after being found with a stolen electronic shopping scooter and cart.

The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says it was dispatched to Veterans Memorial Highway on Saturday to conduct a welfare check.

Deputies located a man riding on an electronic mobility scooter with a shopping cart in tow. The scooter’s operator was identified as Alexander Springer, 57.

Springer allegedly stole the electronic scooter and shopping cart from a Walmart in Bowling Green.

The Bowling Green Police Department confirmed the theft.

Springer was arrested and is lodged at the Allen County Detention Center.

Springer is charged with receiving stolen property $1,000 < $10,000.
