Man indicted on murder charge after death of Hardin Co. child

HARDIN COUNTY, Ky. – A Hardin County man has been indicted on a murder charge involving a young child.

In January, News 40 previously reported that 20-year-old Terrance Corbin of Radcliff was providing childcare for two children, ages three and an 18-month-old, when he contacted the mother of the children to report that the 18-month-old was breathing abnormally.

He then called 911 and said the child was no longer breathing. The child was flown to Norton Children’s Hospital but later died.

Medical evaluations revealed a substantial swelling and bleeding in the soft tissue around the baby’s scalp and face.

Earlier this month, a Hardin County grand jury indicted Corbin for murder.

He faces a minimum of 20 years in prison and a maximum penalty of death if  convicted.

News 40 will continue to provide updates as this case progresses.
