Man facing DUI charge after hitting home

OAK GROVE, Ky. (WKDZ) – A Virginia man is facing charges after hitting a house in Oak Grove on Friday morning.

According to WKDZ, Oak Grove Police say 20-year-old Joel Gallardo was driving when he ran off of Stateline Road and hit a house and a parked vehicle, causing the vehicle to move several feet forward.

WKDZ reports a woman and her 6-year-old were in the home during the crash, however, they were not injured.

Gallardo reportedly stated to police he had a few beers. Following a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer, Gallardo was arrested.

He faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence, first-degree criminal mischief and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
