Man drives motorcycle illegally, suspected drug pipe falls to ground during stop

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A Kentucky man faces charges after a traffic stop in Allen County.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says Delbert Birge, 27, of Gamaliel, was located at a local storefront on Thursday.
The office says Birge has a suspended operator’s license.
Deputies say Birge attempted to leave the storefront on a motorcycle. A traffic stop was conducted.
According to a release, it was determined that the registration plate was for another motorcycle.
Deputies say they heard a glass break and located a clear pipe that contained suspected methamphetamine near Birge.
Birge was arrested and transported to the Allen County Detention Center.
Birge is charged with operating on a suspended or revoked operator’s license, failure of owner to maintain required insurance 1st offense, no registration plates, no registration receipt, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st off (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
