Man dies following collision in Christian County

OAK GROVE, Ky. – One man is dead following a two-vehicle crash in Christian County on Sunday.

The Kentucky State Police says shortly before 3 p.m., Christian County Dispatch contacted KSP Post 2 requesting assistance with a collision at the intersection of Kentucky 117 and U.S. 41 in Oak Grove.

According to authorities, a preliminary investigation revealed 53-year-old Daryll Hook of Hopkinsville was driving a pickup truck when he disregarded a traffic control device, striking 26-year-old Deborah Stanford of Clarksville, Tennessee. Fifty-five-year-old Tony Kilsby of Clarksville was in the passenger seat of Stanford’s sedan, authorities say.

Kilsby was flown to a nearby hospital and later died due to his injuries from the collision.

Troopers say all other parties received medical attention but did not suffer serious physical injuries.

At this time, no criminal charges have been filed.

The investigation is ongoing.
